About Me

My name is Kristina, and I am a passionate educator dedicated to creating spaces where children feel safe, seen, and supported. I specialize in working with multilingual learners, refugee and immigrant families, and neurodivergent students through the lens of therapeutic art and trauma-informed care. My teaching is deeply rooted in inclusivity, creativity, and social-emotional healing. I believe that every child deserves to thrive—not just academically, but emotionally—and that the classroom can be a place of both learning and liberation. This videos showcase what it’s like to be a teacher. Calming sad children who didn’t want mom to leave with songs that soothe them. Teaching them affirmations that made them feel so much self love. Taking the class plant home on the weekend and recording it so they don’t miss it! Building them cardboard planes and costumes out of smocks and finding creative ways to teach them like glow in the dark rocks in water with sea creatures to teach dexterity and science (I always love messy fun!). And my favorite is when our non-verbal kids speak. There is nothing like it.

Art is the universal language, and it belongs to all of us.”
